18 countries participated at this tournament and the wrestlers competed in five weight classes of this traditional wrestling style of Iran.

Jamal Alizadeh(60kg), Hamid Momen(70kg), Peyman Yarahmadi(80kg), Amirreza Akbarzadeh(90kg) and Jaber Sadeghzadeh(+90kg) were Iranian gold medalists at this tournament.
